As a trailblazer of and testament to this generation we are always striving to be the best we can be as the forerunner of the medical and elderly care network industry.
Origins of our name, “Kanamic Network”
Making Japan a Forerunner in Solving the Problems of Super-aged Society
The baby boomers, the generation that shepherded Japan’s growth and
development, turned 65 in 2015 and will turn 75 in 2025. This makes Japan the global
forerunner in confronting issues related to a super-aged society.
Kanamic Network began as a provider of a system for assisting elderly care practitioners
in the year 2000 with the arrival of the elderly care Insurance Law, and has contributed
to the implementation of regional comprehensive care through the development of an
information sharing system. Kanamic’s model has been adopted by numerous projects
including an undertaking by the University of Tokyo’s Institute of Gerontology (IOG) and
been subject to numerous trials and proof-of-concept experiments, helping it grow into
the model that sets the national standard.
There’s a tendency to have a bleak outlook for the future of a Japan facing
various problems stemming from being a “super-aged” society of the likes that’s never
been seen on the face of this planet. But Kanamic’s contribution to society is to help
build a “longevity” society that we can be proud of.
We work to improve our services in the hope that Kanamic Network can help lay the
foundations for a future that not only the elderly but also the generations that support
them can smile about.
